After not so sucessfully gathering intel about the inshore bite. I was informed head east till you see signs of life. Well an area I was told was th chicken canyon, So the #'s went into the gps and broke sr inlet about 7 am. A little bit of a late start but the best we could do. We were greeted by a small fleet on some bunker. We stopped and loaded up on some. With the nice flat water put the hammer down and headed south east. An hour into the ride we found life, other boats. Slowed down and didn't see anything happening so continued on. Forty- five minutes later we were on the east side of the chicken. Set up for the troll and worked the area. Talk on the radio around that wasn't good, nobody doing anything. Finally we saw some marks on the finder way down on the bottom. they weren't big marks but something, we stopped and jigged and dropped down some bait. Did manage to put some small ling in the boat. Also threwome bait out for chum on the surface and with in minutes the blue sharks showed up in the slick. Lines went out on top and not long after we were hooked up. That came unbuttoned, but it wasn't too long before we were on again. also unbuttoned, Think we were a little too ambitious with the hook set. finally on the third one we were able to bring t to the boat for a release, about 7ft. The whole time we were listening to shot n beer on the radio with the guys around him hooking up with the bft's. Then the break we were waiting for when the #'s came out. When we got done playing with the sharks we headed over and trolled again and managed to put a short bft in the boat. It was the first for the boat, finally. It did get released, and I will be out again. Water temp at chicken 65 drift .2 mphwave flatThanks for the intel Shot-n-Beer
