I am looking for the member who helped me out on Sunday when my engine died and before fiddling with the connections to the battery and under the center con to get it started, stayed with me and ensured that I was OK. I was already in pretty bad shape from a route canal I had on Friday ( 3+ hrs in the chair  :'( ) and even though I was hurting I decided to take my brother out for Fathers day on Sunday. Needless to say, I had what I think was a bad connection somewhere, ended up dead in the water with a huge barge headed my way.  nosmly nosmly It was pretty nerve racking to say the least. But this gentleman who is a member on this site, not only helped me out of the channel, but stayed with me and was going to tow me in since Sea Tow was 3 HOURS AWAY and my anchor wouldn't hold. Thankfully the boat started, but I am even more thankful for this site and the members on it. He said, " I know you; you are Miss Fish from the saltwater site" he did tell me who he was, however I was pretty nervous about the whole thing, and I didn't want to let my brother and family down and can't remember his name. 5hrug I want to say thank you from the bottom to the top of my heart for helping me out Sunday. Only a true fishermen knows what its like to 'be up a creek with out a paddle'....thank you thank you thank you for helping me and staying with me till i was on my way back to the launch! grtn

I heard you call for Sea Tow, must have been around 10, 10:30am.. On vhf 68..  I tried to contact you on the radio but never heard from you again.. We were fishing the upper Raritan Reach and I know the Barge you are talking about too.  I'm glad it worked out for you and it was great that a NJSWF member assisted you. That's what we are all about!! TT^

There was another boat, not sure who, that was trying to contact Sea Tow for me, I must have been out of range, I dont get that but he couldnt contact them either, so I went land line to reach them I turned off my raido. Shortly after that, the engine turned over! Everyone on here is just amazing!

Awesome bunch of guys and gals here.
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Great job! I am pretty darn sure you won't read about stories like this on some of the 'other' sites.

The friendliest group for sure!
