6/18 blue and fluke barnegat bay
« on: June 19, 2012, 11:55:03 AM »
Hit  the inlet near the lighthouse in the mOrning with my son Johnathin. We played with 2-4 pound blues near the lighthouse in the rippled water for about two hours. Caught a bunch kept a few for the smoker. Had so much fun fighting them on light tackle.  Then we headed into main part of the bay and just inside the oyster creek channel at about the third set of buoys. Drifted back and forth across the channel and just landed on fluke after another.  Caught about 30 of them in 4 hours.  We kept 4 for the grill.  Largest was caught by Johnathin a 24 incher and we had two 22 inchera an a 19.  Left the rest for someone else ro enjoy.
Early to bed…early to rise…fish all day…make up lies.

To fish is human,

to throw back is divine.

Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
