FISH STIX - Bass & Fluke Today 6/21

Had Paul Shoemackers charter out for live lining bass. The crew was Joe, Joe, Carl and Paul. Broke the inlet early once again and ran to some bunks and it was no good. Saw some others and started working them. FISH ON. Lost about 8-10 but boated 4 to around 30lbs. A lot smaller fish today. What a difference a day makes. They were tough to hook too. Gave the bass fishing up around 9 or so and went for the fluke. Fished till about 12:30pm, it was too hot for the guys today too. Ended the day with 7 keeper fluke and a ton of shorts and 4 stripers.

Did our annual "Fathers's Day Bass Trip" with my son-in-law, his dad, and his life long buddy.

There were acres of bunker pods out there and it was quite a site all day long,even as we drifted for Fluke, they were all around. Bass are eating well.

Probably too many boats(like a parking lot out there today) didn't help the bite.

Poor young Joe lost three Bass on broken braid before he realized that there was a crack in one of his guides that was cutting his line. rgmn
