A rollercoaster of a week from a weather and water condition perspective!  The bad part is the weather and the water conditions are not on the same rollercoaster.  Although, the week will not be stellar, it won’t be the worst week and I’m sure it won’t deter many of you!

Even though, this week is not the best conditions, it will yield to a nice weekend.  Check back here on Wednesday for the Weekend Outlook!

Monday-A cold front and a low pressure system will move into the area during the mid morning and afternoon hours.  This will bring lower temperatures and humidity and a moderate to high chance of rain and thunderstorms.  Some of these thunderstorms will be strong to even locally severe for Southern and Eastern Counties.  Skies will be cloudy.  Highs will be in the lower to mid 80’s and overnight lows down into the upper 50’s.  After the passing of the front, dry air will build into the region Monday Night and predominant winds will be out of the northwest.  The area of low pressure will remain in the area through Tuesday night.

Tuesday-Morning will begin clear and sunny with increasing cloudiness throughout the day.  Chance of scattered showers and/or thunderstorms.  High temperatures in the upper 70’s and lows in the mid and lower 60’s.  Overnight there is a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms for Northern and Northeastern Counties.

Wednesday & Thursday-On Wednesday the low pressure will continue moving east out of the area allowing high pressure to build in from the west bringing dry air, normal temperatures and a gradual increase in humidity as winds change to the south.  Skies will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy with high temperatures, for both days, in the lower to mid 80’s with lows in the mid 60’s.

Friday- A warm front will begin moving into the area from the west, bringing much warmer temperatures and humidity and even the possibility of excessive heat again for the weekend.  Skies will be mostly sunny, highs in the middle to upper 80’s and lows only into the mid to lower 70’s.  There is a chance of shower and/or thunderstorms all day and into the overnight.

« Reply #9 on: June 26, 2012, 11:27:14 AM »
The ridge of high pressure moving into the area is going to bring slightly higher temperatures than the models and guidance were initially suggesting.  On Wednesday & Thursday, temperatures inland will be in the middle to upper 80's now with lows in the upper 60's and lower 70's.  Along the coast, highs will get into the mid 80's, but over night lows will stay in the  lower and mid 70's.  Thursday, some areas, especially inland and urbanized areas could see the start of a "heat wave" with temperatures in the 90's.  Friday temperatures will get into the lower and mid 90's with lows in the low 70's.  This will be the start of a possible heat wave and excessive heat across the region.

Stay tuned for tomorrows NJ Fishing & Boating Weekend Weather Outlook!
