okuma avenger 50 bait runner 7 foot rod
« on: July 08, 2012, 08:26:01 PM »
Any comments on the above combination?
I'm looking for a boat rod spinning combo. Fluke blues strippers off party boats.
I also have an okuma 65 bait runner on a 10 and 11 foot surf rod.
What do you think about putting the 65 or shamanio stradic on a 7 foot boat rod?
Too heavy?

10 and 11 foot are way to big for a party boat the combo you mentioned sounds like it will fair well t^
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

Sorry I'm on my phone and have fat fingers lol
The 11 and 12 foot rods are strictly surf no boat.
Would a stradic 6000 or okuma 65 be too heavy on a 7 foot boat rod?
And how good an outfit is the okuma avenger 50 baitrunner 7 foot rod.
Have the reels,  but no boat rod.
can pick up okuma combo for 90.00 bucks

If you already have those reels i would go pick up a tsunami conventional rod bring the reel with you to see if it feels right, The reels you mentioned could be a little big but thats always better than a little small

Stradic 6000 on a 7' MH or H boat rod should work well for you on a PB for most all species. t^
