Fishing on 7/11 MUST be lucky!

And it was. It couldn't have been a nicer day, blue sky, slight breeze..... I fished on a AH party boat that's not a sponsor (because Capt. Ron's not back yet). Too bad this boat isn't a sponsor because the Capt. deserves kudos for piloting like gas cost $.35/gal. We spent time in the Ambrose channel breathing fresh air and catching fish.
I had 4 keepers and so many that were just short! There was a lot of action, and many, many 16.5", 17", 17.25" fish being thrown back it isn't funny. There's tons of fluke out there.
The pool winner was caught on a fluke rig with 2 spearing.
I may try again on Friday.

On the question about fishing with peanut bunker,live is the best way to go.about hooking the bunks,you can fish them with a regular fluke rig or bucktail.dead are still good,frozen no good they fall apart. with the bucktail i drop the rod down and rear back and cross there eyes.I hook the peanut threw the eyes,this way he cant see the attack
