BI report
« on: July 19, 2012, 04:17:24 PM »
Fished from the rocks this morning and had  a productive day. 20 fluke(mostly shorts), a bunch of shad, a dink bass, 1 blue and some small grouper looking things. The incoming was better number wise but the outgoing gave up better sized fish.

On a sour note, I left my net in the truck and botched the landing on two would-be keeper fluke. As soon as I lifted them out of the water I knew they would get off  rgmn

Pretty even split between the bucktails and gulp teasers. All on white and chartreues colors. Very fun fishing

They were dark brown with brown-orange colors mixed in and even blue colors near their head and very light blue spots along the body.  I'm trying to find a pic of one online. They were all very small but I have seen larger ones following them up.

Replace the white dots with light blue and thats it. Juvenile snowy grouper I guess.

Cool. It is crazy what finds its way up here with these warmer waters. I'm going to start tipping my bucktails with ballyhoo. Maybe I can find a big gag or mutton snapper out on the wrecks  ;)

Mmmm....grouper

I would say you caught sea bass. Very similar in appearance to the grouper pic that was posted.

Nice day of catching.  t^

Sounds like a good day  chrz
My Biggest worry is that when I'm dead and gone, my wife will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it.
