I know you already purchased the Avet, but how about a Penn or Shimano. Check this outfit out.

Maybe send tony maja a pm and ask who did his black ones
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.

I found this company in Warminster PA, not sure if you want to come across the river, or could ship it to them. They actually show a fishing reel that they engraved

Got the reel back from the engraving shop.Could not be more happy with the results. This is a retirement gift for a good friend that I work with. I blurred out part of his last name and badge number since I don't want it on the internet for obvious reasons. The place that did the engraving is L J Engraving & Signs. It's in Linden so you can just google it if you need the phone number. The photo is nice but the engraving with the blue anodized really pops in person. Now I want one done for myself......

The price was 58 dollars total. Part of that was a one time set up charge. So next time if I get the same logo it will be a lot cheaper.

As far as getting an Avet with a blank sideplate, is this a common thing or was it a one off they did just for you?

I called Avet direct and asked if they would sell a reel to me without the engraving. They agreed and I paid the same price that you would pay in the store for the reel. Very nice people to deal with.
