I decided I'd be in no rush to get in the water this year as I had some upgrades and routine maintenance that I wanted to finally get done. I splashed it last week and fished it this Tuesday with perfect calm weather and flat seas.
Left my dock just past lunch hour and headed to the reef. Being it was a weekday and early afternoon, I had  lots of room to myself. First fish was a juvenile flounder. 2nd fish was borderline at 17.5", back he went. 3rd fish was a small sea robin. While rigging a 3rd rod, I heard the ratchet on my Penn 320gti. I lifted the rod and figured I was hung up on some real estate. Just a solid pull with no tugs. As I started reeling there was a couple of nice pulls. I knew it wasn't bottom.

Skip, you got that right. I just kept pickin away at it all summer. Still got some more goodies to do to it but hey its freakin August and I want some fish.

 t^ To everyone,thanks for the compliments on the boat. Its really appreciated. We all know what it takes to keep them lookin' good as well as running at its best. Its know 10yrs old but you would never know it.
