Family Day Out
« on: August 17, 2012, 06:43:45 AM »
A coworker of mine had asked me if I would take his family out for a day of fishing, 5 or 6 people, for his sons birthday, but my boat is not large enough for this task. Im not to sure that they would be a good fit on a party boat because Im pretty sure they are not all that experienced and this could lead to a mess of tangles associated with that type of crowd which could lead to some fustration for them and others. He is looking to me for suggestions but I am pretty much at a loss as to which direction to steer him. Best fit would be a boat in the northern jersey area.

Well, it would be a lil more money, but you should set up a private charter!!!  There are a few of them on here that are perfect!!! I am not sure how far North you are talking about....but as far as I am concerned the bite is on for a few different species in the RB. You can catch the private charters outta the Highlands, plus it would be a nice outing for the family. Or, hit a head boat during a week day and make sure to fish next to one another. Get there early and tie off the spots and work with the mates to help you! That is what they are there for. Either way you go it will be a great day! Be sure to have them check the weather and call ahead.  slt

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.
