8/26 off the hook

Headed out to the usual start spot to find it loaded with boats. Drift was fast 3+mph. Hooked up a couple sea robins. Did the usual chunking with one. Had more snags today then the entire rest of the year so far. lost 6 jigs. all with 5oz on them. Pops loosened up the drag on one of his rods and nearly lost all his line, but did manage to tangle wit 3 other to make my day even better. rgmn Had a couple shorts one that was only about 1/4 inch shy, but that's how it goes sometimes. did hook up a couple of blues on the sholes. guess the drift was just fast enough for them. Just have to figure out how to get more days off work so I can get out more.

Already used all my sick days, personal days, and vacation days for this year. Need to win the lottery.


Update: I heard my boss talking about how he rented a boat over the week end. Told him I would take him out, but wasn't able to take any more days off. After a small discussion about additional personal days, we decided Friday would be a good day.
