FISHERMEN/Mondays Report....
« on: September 04, 2012, 06:28:31 AM »
Did our best to try and make it offshore today, had incoming for a couple hours with the east wind so we gave it a shot. After the pulpit went under for the second time we went to plan B!

Worked some small pieces of bottom in a fast current with the wind, picking a couple fish on some drifts, then some drifts with none. Still ended the day with Rocco landing 4 keepers and Jack fishing in the bow landing 4 for high hooks.
Another Fellow and his son also had 4 nice fish.
Not a good day by any means, both with the weather and the fishing, but we gave it hell to catch what we did.

Big Bob Gjertsen had the pool fish on the last drift at 5 1/4 pounds.
Looks like we will loose Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday will be the next shape up day.

CHARTERED ON SATURDAY MORNING.

My wife and I flew into JFK early yesterday morning and the conditions looks terrible from the air. White caps and tight waves rolling right into the bay.   Pretty nasty out.

Nice try with the fish.
