10/4 report

great weather tommorrow?? left port monmouth at 7 am headed right to the reef. north of the highlands bridge I stopped on a school 0f small blues caught 3 and moved on, just south of the bridge I did a drift I caught 5 keeper weakfish, keeping 1, then off to the reef. it was drop and reel and double headers half the time. robins, sea bass ,porgys,blackfish,skatesand blow fish. I caught over 50 fish resulting in only 2 keeper porgies, back at it tommorrow.

Nice report.  yeah I had a ton of short seabass and porgy last Sunday.   I've read if you use bigger pieces of clam you'll give the bigger fish time to get to the bait before the small ones take it.  I'll try that Monday if its nice out.
