I remember when it was 12". A 3 lb. fish could win the pool.
Me too 12' when we fished the LB pier... no doubt in my mind about it!

I remember there was a size limit on fluke in New York back in the late 60s.  The rental skiffs in Moriches had wooden cutouts to measure your fish.  I think 14" was the size limit, I don't remember a creel limit.  The size limit for bass was 16" back then.

Used to sail on the Palace outta Hoboken with my father.  Left Hoboken and shot across river to pick up the NY crew before heading out.

Which brings the question, and I clearly cant remember, did the NY guys have to adhere to NY regs???  Hopefully someone remembers what Im talking about!

Duff, I remember fishing on the Palace back in the '70s getting picked up on the New York side.  I think we were bottom fishing and porgies, sea bass and blackfish did not have size limits back then.

in the 70's no wonder you were dancing onthe seadevil
Its better to sit in a boat and think about God, than to sit in a church and think about fishing.
