Went fishing yesterday in sandy hook

I caught many skate fish. A few flukes and flounder. Does anyone eat skate fish

Personally I've never tried it, but I've seen it sold in fancy restaurants.  Supposedly a little tough to get the meat but from what I've heard it tastes good.  Amazing what we call "garbage fish" is probably not so bad at all.

Ain't that the truth!? My dad said they used to throw back monkfish by the boat load.... Current price is close to $15/pound!
