10/20 Wet Dreams Sportfishing Striper Report

Had 2 trips today for the Stripers....1st up was Andy,Bobby,Rich,Susan and Freddy.....left the Highlands at 0600  in a flat calm bay....when.we turned the hook we were met by a confused sea with a nasty heave as we had wind against. Pounded the area with the snakes but it was a bit slower today....only landed 3 fish...lost 2....all fish were just keeper to 31 inches....the guys really fished hard today but the eeling was pretty tough.

Left dock again at 1:30 p.m. and this time we had wind with the tide but the thousands of boats made it pretty much an uncomfortable  afternoon....got to the spot with 3 father and son teams of Gary & Kenny, Frank &  Frankie jr, and Mr Cooper & Jake.....first time Striper Eeling for the kids.
Wind and tide together it was pretty much screaming tide as we had 3.5 kits and over 20 ounces to hold bottom at a minimum.....but the fish were biting a little better....we missed few fish after a few drifts...then Mr. Cooper comes tight on a good one and passes it to Jake....fought it for 10 min when a boat slides in behind me and guess what?  rgmn....I was LIVID
Few more drifts with Nada...then we come tight on 2 good fish ...boating them both....Franks fishy taped out at 40 inches and Kenny's fish at 35 inches. The boys did well in a tight 4-5 ft swell for sure....I'm real proud of the little guys!...see ya again in a week or 2!

Not a bad day considering the conditions t^  It was getting a little crowded out there when I was leaving, the guys that were anchored and trolling and even some swimmers made the drifting a bit interesting.

I told my guys that the guys swimming were actually the NJ Conservation officers enforcing their new Stealth Diver Program where they show up like Navy Seals under your boat and board you.

Had a great day on the water even though the bite was slow. The kids had a great time thanks to you and Matt. Hope to go out again in a couple of weeks. I-KAT is right- I have to watch out for Kenny. He's got me beat this year so far.
