Weve had our house on the BHW lagoons for over 40 years. NEVER even came close to a tide that came over our bottom dock. Last year we decided to renovate the house..Everything was new. The insulation, sheet rock, trim, tile, rugs, kitchen, appliances, furniture etc. We were pretty fortunate compared to other people though.  :'( Ended up with 36 or so inches of water through the house but everything stayed in place but is ruined. That all can be replaced so whatever.
I went down tuesday morning and pulled out all my fishing gear and any valuables. 3 Boats and my box trailer made it. It's insane what happened down there. Im sick to my stomach over this. If anyone out there needs help in the BHW area this weekend PM me.

Best of luck to everyone out there.

On a side note. Someone got their ass kicked and robbed right outside my house last night 2am.         ( garfield ) Ive heard of lots of luding going on. If the gas continues to be scarce you guys should put a gas cap lock on your vehicles.  nosmly

Finally got into the Highlands today....thank you Highlands P.D.  t^
Got to the boat to see 1st hand....she looks like she was the last boat to float being the last boat on the pile. Lots of gel coat work to be done....props and rudders are about 1/4 inch into the blacktop and only things supporting the boat so maybe some shaft issues as well...wont know the stbd side and bottom.damage until she is blocked back up again.
Looks like she fought like hell to stay put ....but tired out in the late rounds

Up in Levittown, no power since Monday afternoon,Gen getting me by. Last update we may get it back Sun but at least all the trees missed our house. National Guard is patrolling due to copper thieves,Still over 50%of homes still no power. Was contacted by Surf City police about info regarding re-entering island, looks like up to 8 days they'll keep us posted. To my shock our house was in one of the fly by pictures of Christies first tour. Windows were still boarded, siding and roof looked intact, no sand in the streets and no standing water. So far it looks promising. Still have pictures from the 62' storm and the water only came up to the first step of the old house. We'll see what happens this time. To all others our hearts are with you, things can be replaced and rebuilt, as long as your there to do it. Here's some pics of LBI. Good luck to all.

Up @5am this morning to get in the gas line and topped off then on the hunt for a gen...heard they had some at Lowes In mt olive so I jumped in the truck only to find out it was a rumor and they had none rgmn.  Went to the 7/11 on the ride back to get coffee and got chatty with a women that had just the night before got one from Tractor Supply Co so I made a beeline over to the one near me, Flanders and they didn't have any   :'(. But they said the Blairstown/Hope store still had them but couldn't sell them....I get the address and dial it into the GPS and make record time there on Rt 80....get there and they got 6 left  ;D.  $800 bucks later i have one in the back of the truck.  Headed east into PA to find no lines at the pumps and top off the truck and the gen still in the box....a little wiring to the panel and got the whole house live !    A small victory but I think right now that's what we have....small victories as we all get back up and running....again guys call me if you need anything. 973 727-4699 cell

Andy's Delight is home.  Seeing all the loss firsthand in Keyport, a part of me honestly felt guilty driving out of there with an intact boat.

Just got our power back now.. Jackson has 3 down tree, busted my fence, bbq, mower and pool heater.

Toms River, perfect.. Boat, perfect.  My friend took his boat out of the water at a local marina, and it floated off the block.  It is crazy to say, that this time, keeping the boat in the water was the better choice.  All I had was high tide to worry about.

My Seaside house, did not survive at all.  We have water damage, and 4' of sand around the house and parts of the boardwalk sitting in our driveway.
