Sandy vs Marinas
« on: October 30, 2012, 05:37:22 PM »
Vikings in old bridge total loss every boat on land is missing.  Wagners no docks and all boats in the weeds. Zubecks has boats on the railroad bridge.  Basically all the marinas in the back of the raritian bay are destroyed

I have pics of Keyport, not sure how to post them fromy iPhone? :headscra:
While I was walking around Keyport many people asked me if I saw they're boat. So sad.    The Bluerock cafe had water over the bar and waves crashing the roof.  The Bluerock sits on 5' stilts. So the 11.5' surge did happen.

I went to Keyport as well, browns point, wagners and kmb all destroyed.  Boats that I used to drool over just destroyed.  Never saw anything like it.  Al's urging of me to move my boat out to Bradlees parking lot saved it.  It would have been destroyed had I left it at the marina where it was.  I also spoke with Al yesterday , he and family are ok.  His house took extensive damage.  I will let him tell about that when he is ready.

That's Brown's Point, Wagners, and Keyport Marine Basin.  total devastation.  One thing the pics do not tell is the ridiculously strong smell of fuel in the area.  I'd be afraid to stand near anyone smoking a cigarette.  Both Wagners and KMB's fuel docks were sunk.  Peterson's up the road has been demolished, their fuel dock and the house that sits above are completely gone.
