Close To Home Ultra Light Snapper & Striper Fishing
« on: September 09, 2007, 01:06:58 PM »
My son and I spent the last 2 mornings fishing close to home (5 minutes away  TT^).

Using ultra light spinning tackle we casted a variety of artificals; small silver spoons, micro rat-l-traps & small topwater plugs.. Had a ball catching various sized snappers (from the ideal fluke bait of 5"s up to 12"ers). In addition, Jason took 3 small stripers yesterday and 1 today. I caught 3 bass today. All of Jason's came on a 1/4 ounce Kastmaster and mine on a 1/4 ounce Little Cleo. I also had a ball using a mini Zara Spook for some topwater action on the small demons. They really blew up on that bait.

If you put the striper's nose to tale to go over 28" would it be legal?

Happy Catching
