Left Townsend Inlet "TI" at 6am for some bass action on the 258 with captain bobby ..
I was just returning from Morehead City ,NC at 545am Monday morning , we took the boat "Jeanie D" down for the fall and winter months So I was still tired and in offshore mode , we had 3 sailfish around the big rock Sunday.
iI pulled in the driveway in sea isle, where the crew had been patiently waited for my arrival , we had to trailer the 258 due to Sandy wiping out Sunset marinas floating docks.
Arrived at the fishing grounds around 615 lines went in and by noon we were loaded up and limited out , the bite turned on at 7am.
We shred the ocean with one other vessel the "nev r enof" captain Jim lutz and charter.
The bass measured out on average 33" with a few 30" fish we had 8 total one short and 2 blues . Water temp was around 56 degrees It dropped quick compared to last week
Now is definitely the time , on our way down to hatteras we refueled in Virginia Beach , Rudee Inlet , there fishing center said the bass are still a few months out. The waves of bass are rolling in our area as we speak so get out there while you can
