11/16....with Blackfish opening today...

We went for the Stripers,.......
Me,Howie and Matt dropped  Howies boat in  up in North Jersey and   fish some spots up there using the artificials...started off slow on an incoming tide that took forever to turn....north wind cranking against it made for ugly conditions...took a couple fish early on shads but they shut down quickly....went on the troll with the stretches and that's what they wanted as the tide changed....that was good for an hour....then we went back to the shads and ron Z's and had 2-3 fish for 3 drifts straight....pulled the plug and left them biting....had about 20 fish to 24 lbs in 4 hours. Good to get back on the water for sure.
