NJ Fishing & Boating Weather Outlook: Weekend Edition Dec 1-2, 2012

The weekend will not be as dry as the week was, but rain/snow chances are low.  Snow chances, if any will be for northwestern NJ into PA on Saturday.  Any precipitation occurrences will be locally isolated to scattered showers and/or snow with an inch or less accumulation at this time.  It is highly plausible that these rain/snow forecasts become more of showers and flurries as there is NOT any organized low pressure system or winter storm moving through the area.  High temperatures will be in the upper 40's to mid 50's with lows down into the upper 30's and 40's.  Water conditions are rated good for inshore and midshore to offshore locations with a chance of some gustier winds around 20 knots and building seas to 3 feet on Sunday Afternoon from a southerly flow creating cautious conditions.  However, winds and seas will remain below small craft advisories.  Surf conditions will be normal with wave heights 0-2 and 1-2 feet.  Again, winds on Sunday could peak around 20 knots from the south.

High pressure from Canada will build and strengthen across the area from Friday Night into the weekend.  A warm front will lift north of the area on Sunday followed by a cold front to start the week.
