Went with pops on his boat toward the reach for weaks. Armed with largish peanutz (my nutz were MUCH bigger today), headed out and met the fleet there.
A good 150 boats including ALL local Party boats. Everyone right on top of each other.
Read A TON of fish. Saw the party boats hook yup, then move to chase the fish every 10mn or so.
Some of the private boats hooking up, but we couldn't buy a bite 9neither could 80% of the other boats around us.
The PB were catching, but not killing them. We tried adjusting dropper sinker length from 6" to 4', fluorocarbon leaders of varying lengths for the hooks.
Spoke to a few hooked up and they were using peanuts. Saw some others using worms that hooked up.
I left my gulp worms on my boat. but tried powerbait worms with a small gulp shrimp added for scent.
Tally for the day was 1 short fluke for pops and 1 small sea robin for him
I got the skunk (except for catching all the peanuts
Wasn't our day.
That's why they call it fishing.
back at dock by noon.
