I like 4 also. I'm sure the guys down south will want an earlier season though. Seems that the meeting in Galloway (where the regs are voted on) is overloaded with guys from the south (stands to reason as Galloway is much closer to them than the northern guys) and they have more input from having more people voicing their opinion from that way.

I prefer to Fluke fish later into September while waiting for the Stripers and Tog to show up. I tend to  catch larger Fluke later in the season too. t^

if all options are the same bag limit, im taking option # 3
once again, late sept/early oct weather sucked anyway last year and i have no reason to expect differently this year.

whs  I am with Capt. Carl on this one.  The last two years storms killed the fall fishing.

I agree with you Carl also picked 3.
It helps with the people who fish with you or on a party boat, sometimes very tough to put a limit together on a head boat

I hate to say it but it's always affected my life ;D but that half inch made a difference in my keeper to throw back ratio last year I went with number 3 even though I really love the late season fluke fisherie

Are there that many people consistently putting together catches of even five keepers per trip now?
Broken One, you can put your hand down now. ;D

Would increasing the bag limit to eight make that much of a difference to most anglers?

I went with #4.  A longer season is always preferable for me.  Especially since I don't get out to fish nearly as much as I used to.

Many people putting limits+ on the deck....although not me.. ;D

Whole point was we will never get back the 3. Voting on 5 now will eventually lead to voting on a 3 fish limit and so and so on.  Sooner or later we will be looking at a fluke limit just like weakfish..1.

Gov keeps taking and taking and taking...for its worth, I vote for the longest season.

If my entire crew put 8 keepers total on the boat in 1 day that would be stellar.

We must suck.

Not for lack of trying. We sure throw back quite a few.  rofla  chrz

I vote for longest season too. The fun factor is about max, and the shot in the arm to the economy is first-rate.

Bring on the bass!!

#4 also but in reality they will say that the longer season will cause us to over fish,  rgmn.

# 3 for me. It put every thing right in the middle. Some keepers and some late season.

The "half inch" to "inch" is the difference between woo and aahh !!!!! >:D >:D rofla

That's what my wife says.  I'm still not sure which option I like yet, though I do agree with Duffman, where's the 8 fish option?  Slowly but surely, our fish are being taken away.

Im happy with 5 fish.. That is a lot of meat for one person, especially if these are nice size fish... There are ways to beat the system.. Bring more people fishing with you.  Hey, as long as my wife is sun bathing with a fishing pole in her hand, I get 5 more fish... Oh.. Ill bring my mother also for 5 more.. LOL..

Trust me.. I am happy to catch my limit... Its not often it happens due to small fish..
