FISH STIX - Bottom Fishing 4/14 Shakedown
« on: April 15, 2013, 07:26:44 AM »
Sunday 4/14 we had a nice crew on board. Murray with his daughter Sophie, Dan with his son Dan and Ron with his son Ranger. Left the dock around 630am with a nice sun shining. We were greeted with beautiful conditions, but still opted to try the inshore areas. Made a few drops in one area and only produced shorts of tog and cod. Some decent bites but nothing to show. When a little deeper and had zero bites, not even ling. took a 45 min ride deep to the northeast and the pups were ready to play, dogs. Couldn't stay out here long with the ridiculous wind and waves that came on. Tried another spot way inshore just to scope it out and only bites were dogs again. The crew had enough of the wind and chop and called it a day. Definitely NOT the way I wante to start off the season. But we had to try somewhere.

As for Fish Stix Crew, we are taking off until Friday. Maybe by then, the water temps will be a bit warmer for fishing and hopefully they will bite.

We are going up to fish with the boys on FV-Tuna.com. A nice get away for all of us before the season gets going crazy.

See you soon,

Capt Kris
