IrishAyes on the troll 9/23 [Video Clip]
« on: September 23, 2007, 04:49:30 PM »
I met the crew at the dock at 5 am.  We loaded our arsonal onto the boat and took off for the mud hole.  The plan for the day was to hit the mud hole and troll to the Arundo, head to the Monster Ledge then across the mud hole to the Lillian, Little Italy and the Slough.

Aboard were Jozwirk, Hareball, Capt Mike, Capt John and camera man Hotrod.

We followed our plan, stopping short of the Arundo and trolling the lobster pots.  There were three to four foot seas coming from the northwest.  That put a slight damper on the troll pattern, knocking the lures around every now and again.

Trolling speed was 7 knots.  We trolled across the mud hole and made our way back to the lobster pots near the Arundo, by passing our plan to go further south.

We went across the Shark River reef and saw some great structure, however, there was nobody home.

Back at the pots we finally had a knockdown on the port side outrigger.  Capt John brought a beutiful looking MahiMahi boatside where it was gaffed and brought on board.

A long day of trolling for one fish.  At least it was a nice day on the water with a good crew.   t^
