5/17 & 5/18 Sandy Hook Striper Report
« on: May 19, 2013, 07:36:31 PM »
Was a tough weekend for the striped ones. Ran doubles all weekend and had some bass action but not steady. Blues were fierce most trips except Sat pm when it was hard to get anything at all. am trips had better results than p.m. trips as well.
Highlight of one trip was a nice 21 inch Knuckler which was released.
Had about 20 or so Porporise around the boat at the mouth of the river on the ride in Sat p.m. Stopped for the show watching them feed on the bunker for awhile.
Hope it gets better after this full moon...if not we will be rolling down south to work the bunker.

Was a tough weekend for most Capt. Carl.
Sure you are right, and after the next moon, the spawn should be done and some great fishing will return.

'til then It's all good just to get out.

Glad I got a chance to stop by and say hello on Sat. between your trips and see the new ride.  chrz to a great season. t^
