Reel McCoy II Sunday 5/19/13 report
« on: May 19, 2013, 08:18:44 PM »
Had a NJSWF crew today with Wreckfish and Jakemeister (Phil & Jake) onboard with my son for a shot at some Raritan Bay bass.  Set up in the Belford area and started cracking.  Phil broke the ice with a skate and then nothing for two hours.  Got a tip from Capt. Carl and we made a move over by the Reach and we managed to land 3 bass with one being a keeper.  Dan landed a skate and Jake had a nice fish on that came unbuttoned.  Conditions got worse as the day dragged on.  We did try to go on the troll but after taking a few over the bow we packed it in and limped home.  I am not saying who caught the 3 bass but they were caught on a "Wreckfish Rod"
It was great having Phil and Jake onboard, with Jake and my son as deckhands I got to relax and fish  t^

Was a little crapy out today guys and at least you got out for a shot and got a few. chrz

PS: Fished my "Wreckfish" lami Honey I won on our Tog Trip all day on Sat. and loved it. And the Penn Squall that Capt. Joe G matched up was awesome.

It's just beginning and the season is young. t^

I won't say who caught the stripers either but I will recommend that Reel McCoy change his name to Dan "The Striper Man"  t^.  Dan, thanks for the invite and enjoyable day on the Reel McCoy II. Jake and I had a blast.
