Today we had NJSWF member Capt. Joe Zaccaro and crew onboard for a little striper fishing. Ran to where we marked them and again had great readings....started chunking in a flat calm sea. Bunker pods being harassed all over the boat we snagged and dropped some and had run offs but didnt come tight. Then the wind came on hard against the tide and the thick fog rolled in making conditions pretty nasty but the fish started to bite pretty good. had to hang in there thru the blues but the guys came in 2 fish shy of a limit...and Joe went home to weigh in a bluefish for his May/June Tourney and it hit the scales at 15.0 lbs putting him into first place on the leader board!
we also had a non paying passenger for the ride home....he sat on my rail in the flybridge for the whole ride sleeping.....he must have had a rough night so we let him get his rest.
thanks guys!!!!!
