Fishing Fort Lauderdale on Happy Day Today with Capt. Zsak

Dziękuję

Brad and Jeanne Knieck along with Jeanne’s parents, Mike and Grace all from Chicago chartered the Happy Day Today along with the Topshotfishing team to do some deep sea fishing in Fort Lauderdale FL.  Winds were out of the east at 5 mph with the sun playing peek-a-boo throughout the day.

We headed out to the drop off which is located in 120 ft. of water, 1.8 miles from the shore of Fort Lauderdale.  We put two plainers down, one with a 3 ½ blue reflector drone spoon and the other with a double hooked Bonito strip with a pink and blue sea witch.  For surface baits we went with 4 Ballyhoos.

With little current, any type of structure or wreck will hold the bait fish and in return the predators will not be too far behind.  We trolled from one artificial wreck to another catching 2 Tunas, 4 Bonitos, 1 Barracuda and 5 Kingfish, one weighing 18 lbs.

With happy smiles on the anglers’ faces, it was time to head back to the dock at Bahia Mar 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale Fl. 33316.  We fillet the Tuna and Kingfish to be served for dinner that night.
