Fish Monger Wednesday July 24th
« on: July 25, 2013, 10:42:46 PM »
Getting blown out on a June 28th Monger trip and having to turn down multiple invites to fish with others due to my sons baseball schedule it was great to finally get my chance to be out on the water.

Had yet another installment of Paule and Kenny’s excellent fishing adventures aboard the Monger this past Wednesday as is our custom every year,  Had to make a last minute change from last years cast and plugged BigAl onto the roster for a day of fluking and high jinks on the high seas..

Beautiful day to be on the water to say the least…  a light WNW breeze accompanied by a hardly noticeable SE swell for the day making a 6 oz bucktail all that was needed to get the job done.

Started the day a couple of miles north of Shark River bouncing our way up the beach finishing our day right off the red church.  Found life pretty much everywhere we stopped but you had to pick through the shorts to build a box. Had to grind all day for the keeps, no early limit for us but in the traditional Monger style we fished a long day finishing up with 30 in the box to 4 lbs ( 6 man limit )  That last fish took almost 45 minutes to find but Jerry was on a mission and wasn’t heading for the barn until we boxed up number 30.

Did fish near Capt Joe for just a short time ( and I think Bucktail ) on the Irish Ayes…Great to see you guys on the water and hope you guys did well.

Great group of guys today to say the least, Lots of laughs and good times.

Thanks for hoping on with us Al and welcome to Monger Nation.

Paule, what can I say, Just another installment in our long and continuing saga of trips buddy, always a blast fishing with you.

One other note from the trip, we got to fish with Sponge Bob Square pants, that guy can fish too ! I think Paule took some pics of Sponge Bob that he’ll post up later !

Always a blast and yes another excellent adventure for sure! chrz chrz

Cold Beer, Hot Sun, Great Friends, lots of laughs, and a long day of great fishing can turn many a grown man into doing "Silly things" on the way back in on The Fish Monger. ;D

Great to fish with "Mud Hole" Big Al, and "Duck Man Si", Bill again. t^ chrz chrz

Good to see you guys out there. Always a great day on the Monger. Was going to do a drive-by with my water super soaker but I didn't know who else was on the boat so I decided against it. No need to Pee off Jerry's clients. Would have loved to have gotten you guys though. ;D

Ken, as everyone who fishes with me, I don't like to crowd other boats, especially charters. That's not saying I don't fish the same areas they do, I just won't shadow anyone, rather be off by ourselves.  t^
