The weekend is shaping up to be nice. With Friday a transitional day between frontal boundary and high pressure, the weekend will bring slightly cooler, drier air and dry conditions. The entire state will have sunny to mostly sunny conditions all weekend with no rain chances in the forecast. High temperatures will range from the mid 70’s to low 80’s with overnight lows in the upper 40’s to mid 50’s inland with low 60’s along/on the water. Water conditions are rated good for all locations. However, Saturday could bring some gusty east/northeast winds with the passing front and building seas could approach SCA criteria with winds near 20 knots and seas to 5 feet. Southern areas will see the highest winds and seas with conditions lessening to the north. Surf and beach conditions look good for the weekend. Saturday could bring some rougher and elevated surf with gusty easterly winds and possible moderate risks of rip currents, but by Sunday conditions will be normal with low risks of rip currents. Water temperatures have warmed by a few degrees and are all in the lower to upper 70’s. UV Index will be High to Very High.
High pressure over the Great Lakes will slowly settle to the southeast and reach the area by Saturday Night before moving off the Southern Mid Atlantic Coast on Monday.
Next week will bring in an unsettled weather pattern on Tuesday bringing chances of rain for most of the week. High temperatures will return to upper 70’s to mid 80’s with overnight lows back into the 60’s. Dew points will return back to the 60’s as well with a return of moderate humidity. Water conditions look good for all locations all week except Tuesday with a gusty southwesterly flow and building seas. Surf and beach conditions look good right now as well.
Have a great weekend and enjoy the weather!
