Made are way through a choppy bay. As soon as we cleared the hook things calmed a little. Made our way to the A channel. Drift wasn't to bad as the tide was getting ready to change. Made several drifts with a few keepers each drift mixed in with lots of shorts and robins. By noon had 5 in the cooler. Spent the rest of the day trying to get another one. The wind calmed for about 2 hours out of the day, but by the time we were heading in the wind was kicking and so were the waves. Very weird day. Just couldn't find a decent drift or a decent bite all afternoon. Did see a couple Hump backs feeding on the red side of the A channel which was nice, and drifted by a school of bunker in a ball so tight they were literally some out of the water. Dropped some metal down bellow them, but no takers.
