I had time for a morning run on Saturday and after a 4 week hiatus my son and I headed out at 7:30. Plan was to try a few spots and head in at noon. First stop was Ambrose, Dan landed a nice 20" fish on the second drift, I had the smallest fluke of the season at 7". Made a few moves in Ambrose picking only a few shorts. Out to the "A" bouy area, I managed a just keeper fluke and a nice ling, Dan was hot hand with the shorts. Next over to the FG where we had some nice sized sea bass that had to go back alone with a few more shorts. Last stop was Scotland ridge where Dan landed a nice 4.8#er. Wind was with the tide at this point and we were having problems holding bottom so we pulled the plug about 30 mins later than our plan of noon.
Bad news... I kept have problems getting the engine to start, so I had to cancel today's trip. I think it may be just a battery issue...
