This weekend will bring a continued unsettled weather pattern.  However, overall the weather will not be terrible.  Saturday will have mostly sunny skies with a very low chance of showers becoming mostly cloudy at night with a slightly higher chance of showers.  Sunday will be mostly sunny and clear with no rain in the forecast.  The passing cold fronts have and will keep cooler and drier air in place.  Temperatures are still slightly above average with high temperatures on Saturday in the mid 60’s to low 70’s and low to mid 60’s on Sunday.  Overnight lows will be in the 40’s and 50’s with mid 30’s across northern areas.  Humidity will not be an issue besides what any rain may bring.  Winds will be calm on Saturday and will be gustier on Sunday.  Water conditions are good for Saturday and cautious late Saturday Night into Sunday Day.  Small Craft Advisories are possible on Sunday, through the afternoon or longer if winds start gusting with the passing front Saturday Night into Sunday Morning.  Surf conditions will be good to ok and will echo water conditions on Sunday.  Winds could pickup and surf could become rough with wave heights 2-4 feet.  Water temperatures  are in the low to mid 60’s with some upper 60’s across offshore and southern inshore waters.  UV Index will be Moderate at 4/15.

Weak high pressure will move in to the region Friday through Saturday.  Low pressure will move across Eastern Canada and a weak cold front will cross the area from the west on Saturday Night.  Behind this cold front, a large high pressure system will build in for early next week.

Next week looks more stable, although a passing cold front early to midweek will bring some instability and possible rain.  However, the week looks uneventful right now with highs in the 60’s and 70’s and lows in the 30’s-50’s.  Late week could see some freezing temperatures and a cold airmass may move in later this week for the first time this Fall.  Water and surf conditions look uneventful too with good conditions right now all week.

The tropics are quiet for the Atlantic!

Have a great weekend!
