Will the bluefish record be broken?

With the state record at 27 pounds and 1 ounce if I remember correctly and with countless reports of fish caught at 25 pounds over the past few weeks, will the record be broken?

It's possible.  Although I'm not sure if these claims of 25# fish are legit.  A lot of people overestimate a fish's weight.  Unless it's been weighed on an accurate scale, I'll remain skeptical.

I did see that a 23# fish was entered into the Fisherman magazine dream boat contest.  I think there is a chance it may be broken.

I broke 19lbs twice out there the other day (at least on my handheld scale), and the fishing wasn't even that hot compared to many of the reports I've seen
