Attach your main line (65# braid) to a lighter line (40-50# mono) with an Abright. Then, when you get hung up you would loose your lighter leader and save your main line from breaking off (most of the time).I'm sure there will be many guys on the boat willing to show you the way they tie their rigs. I use the Belmar rig and can show you how to tie it. No hardware (snaps, swivels, etc) necessary.
Chris. You will be good to go with the 40lb braid and 50lb mono.I have used Power Pro for years with no issues.Stop by the information booth and see me or Kenny and we'll get you rigged up. No hardware and if you don't lose rigs you're in the wrong spot.

Last trip out my Canyon reel with braid wasn't letting line out very well.
Looks like it's going to be a fun day! I already have my spot picked at the rail.
I thought the Captain is suppose to be in the wheelhouse. I would make room for Captain Eddie at the rail as he a great fisherman and we could learn some things from his technique. Looking forward to a great day on the Sea Horse. I will be a walking advertisement as I will be wearing my lucky Prowler shirt, Ocean E shirt from Belmar and maybe I will top it off with those great Bingo shirts you gave us. Tight Lines,Bob G
Hey Bob how about a shirt for the best PORNfishing website that is making this trip happen Grin
I use that term when I'm giving someone my email address
