11/11/13 Sandy Hook Striperpalooza

Set out just before  Sunrise with some familiar faces....Ms Fish,Flukabrasi,Trish's brother Michael,Kenny the Deli King and Deptford Tommy on board and pointed the bow into some hard wind and made our way out to the grounds on a bouncy sea. Turned the corner and we were all cast into a scene of Planet Blue on the Discovery Channel. Birds everywhere, Bass and Blues rolling and jumping out of the water all over the place....only thing missing was whales. Set up to jig and of course it was Striper Slayer Trish to come tight first with a nice 22lb fish,Followed by all the rest of the gang shortly after....boat limit by 8:30 on the boat and the bird life dwindiling, we got set up on the troll to work on the bonus tags...2nd rod wasnt even out when we came tight on the first rod....Boxed Up with our total limit by 9:30 after picking through the shorts and played catch and release until 11 a.m. releasing an easy 30 fish mix of keepers and shorts. back to dock by noon....great day on the water with great people!
Trish....thanks again for breakfast and lunch!.....the Deli King's sandwiches were AWESOME!!!!!!!!

Thanks again for an amazing day Capt!  Can't say enough about the great job you and Dave did keeping us on them all day    And special thanks to Trish for inviting me along.. and again, going waaay above the call.. providing a fantastic spread of food, along with her usual infectious enthusiasm!    Always amazes me how she manages to get up in the middle of the night to make us P&E sandwiches, plus all the rest, and still  run a fishing clinic on the boat.. just amazing.. .. Anyway, after what has for various reasons been a pretty crappy year all around for me, I could'nt ask for a sweeter day or better company to spend it with..    between fighting fish, and throwing groceries down my neck, i did'nt have much time for pics.. but here's a few more..
