11/15 The Search for Stripers is Over, Well Sort Of
« on: November 15, 2013, 07:52:56 PM »
Made it out today at sunrise with Jake and his 8 year old son, Zander. Broke the inlet and headed over to Spring Lake area. Nothing going so, we trolled south, picking up one blue. Pulled in the rigs and move over to Mantolooking/Normandy Beach area and were greeted by promising conditions. Fished sporadic marks for a total of 3 keepers to 19# and 4 or so shorts. The last two fish were taken just as fish really started to stack up but, we pulled the plug as Zander was really sick. He fought through most of the trip but, with fish in the boat we couldn't punish him anymore.

Back at it tomorrow at 7.

Fred, fishing the "Kristy Marie" from Manasquan River Club. Channels 16/67/68.

Nice catch Fred. I'll be out tomorrow as well. Hope to see you out there. I'll give you a shout if we find them.  t^

Fishing, with me, has always been an excuse to drink in the daytime.

Good job Fred.  Too bad Zander was feeling sick.
