Question I always had
« on: October 12, 2007, 03:55:25 PM »
The pound nets in SH bay and also by Union beach over there.

Who's are those, who collects the fish and are they even still maintained by anyone?
Always wondered about that.

I've seen the nets off of Officers Row tended to on Monday mornings.

I've recently seen pound nets inside Keyport Harbor. In close to the beach under the water tower. No idea if they are new or not, I just happened to notice them recently for the first time.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We extort, we pilfer, we filch, and sack,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
Maraud and embezzle, and even high-jack,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We kindle and char, inflame and ignite,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
We burn up the city, we're really a fright,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.

We're rascals, scoundrels, villans, and knaves,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
We're devils and black sheep, really bad eggs,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.

Taken from the Pirates of the Carribean.
