The Outlook will be late again today rgmn! Lots going on, including midterms, which I can only take today. Monday will be cold and snowy for most. Northern NJ may not see much snow at all, besides some showers.  Temperatures will be below freezing statewide to start the day and accumulations will range from nothing to 6 inches for Southern NJ. Snow will change to a mix or rain by late morning or afternoon as temperatures increase to mid 30's. Precipitation should end sometime in the evening or overnight, clearing out for Tuesday with closer to average temperatures returning.

Water, surf and beach conditions will be CAUTIOUS to HAZARDOUS with Small Craft Advisories due to winds to 30+ knots and seas to 8 feet with surf rough around 2-5 feet. Conditions look to improve by Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest.

More to follow...THANKS!

 TT^

After the nice late season Winter Storm today, conditions will begin clearing tonight with lessening of clouds. Tuesday will be dry with sunny skies and temperatures into the 40’s before dropping into the 20’s and 30’s overnight. Wednesday will bring precipitation with rain and snow showers possible all day, however temperatures will be more mild in the 40’s and 50’s with 20’s and 30’s overnight. Thursday will clear out through Friday Night with 40’s and 50’s again and 20’s and 30’s overnight. Chances of rain will move in for Friday Night carrying over into Saturday. Water conditions will be mixed this week depending on the day and location. Tuesday could see continued gusty winds with borderline cautious conditions and SCA’s.  Conditions will settle for Wednesday and then Thursday could see some gusty borderline winds before settling for the end of the week. Offshore water conditions will be cautious most of the week with gusty winds and then high seas around 7 feet. Surf and beach conditions will be ok to cautious with 1-3 feet average and up to 3-6+ feet with rough surf across southern waters this week. Easterly winds will be kicking up the surf. Be careful for any beach erosion and forming rip currents. Water temperatures are in the mid 30’s to low 40’s inland with mid 40’s offshore. UV Index will be moderate at 3-5/15.

Cold High Pressure will build into the region from the north Monday Night and Tuesday. A cold front will then approach from the west on Wednesday, then track across the region Wednesday Night. High pressure is expected to follow for Thursday and Friday. Another cold front from the West is anticipated to arrive Saturday and more high pressure forecast for Sunday.

The weekend looks like a split with rain possible on Saturday, but mild mid to upper 50’s temperatures and overnight lows in the 20’s and 30’s. Sunday will clear out with more sun, but cooler temperatures in the 40’s with lows in the 20’s and 30’s. Water, surf and beach conditions will be cautious most of the weekend, maybe clearing for later Sunday with gusty winds and elevated seas. Next week looks like chances of more cold, likely Arctic Air moving in again!

Have a great week and thanks for reading!
