Ye. Looks like I am going down to boat this weekend to take everything off, give her a good scrubbing and maybe a coat of wax. Fill her up, throw some stabil (or whatever) in and prepare to hand over keys following week.

Going to fish on pops boat last week Oct and then following weekend in Nov and call it a season I guess.

Hi Nick,

Did I miss something last weekend (October 13-15)? It was flat and the conditions were ideal where I was ...

Next weekend is too far off to forecast right now ...

Confused,

Ed

NO, NO, this weekend wasn't a blow, I just couldn't make it out...  Just from what I heard, bad reports all around from this past weekend.  This time of year gets tricky with the weather especially since we are running out of time before the boat comes out.

I was hoping to do some eeling after work on Friday evening for a quick couple of hours.  Well, if the weather holds up, but you are correct, its way to early to tell.

I never listen to the forcasts.  I use them as a guide.  I will always take a ride down and see for myself if it is fishable.  I lost too many good fishing days listening to the weathermen years ago.

Nick, that is a nice format for the report in your original post.  What site is it from?

If you sign up, its free, you will get access to the 7 day marine forcast instead of the 2 day, and you will also have access to the beach webcams.  I have that forcast set for around the hook, ocean side.  You can adjust it for your fishing place.

Solid 3' chop in bay, 11-12mph from tip of hook to Keansburg and beyond.

Raritan bay was NOT pleasant this past Sunday.

The 2nd site was down when I posted this link,i'm not sure if it will work but I also find the NJ surfer site's weather page to be reliable for the wind conditions

Hi Mboy,

Wow ...
West to NW wind good for ocean, not so good for Raritan/Sandy Hook bay.

Absolutely flat calm from the Absecon Inlet to the southern canyons all weekend.

Go figure,

if by BLOW you mean Big Linesiders On Wire I hope so!!! This may be my last chance to get the boat out this yr (other than the last ride to haul&wrap.)

Note to self- hit the lottery and buy waterfront property with boat dockage then the season ends when I say it does....  t^
