A nice Spring weekend for the Easter Holiday, but water conditions look to be windy again. Weather-wise this weekend looks like just what you all have been asking for…dry conditions both days, a mix of sun and clouds with more sun than clouds, highs in the 60’s inland and mid 50’s along the immediate coast. Overnight lows will still be chilly, especially across northern areas with 30’s and 40’s. Water conditions *could* improve on Saturday only to kick up again on Sunday, especially across ocean and southern waters. Sunday could see a return of Small Craft Advisories with winds gusting to 20-25 knots. Surf and beach conditions will be OK to Cautious with Saturday the better day and Sunday rougher and higher surf. Water temperatures are steady in the mid 40’s with the exception of some 50’s in shallower waters. UV Index will be High at 6-7 all weekend.
Weakening high pressure will remain across the area on Friday. A cold front will cross the region Friday Night followed by more Canadian High Pressure building in through the weekend and into Monday Night. A disturbance will affect the region Tuesday into Wednesday.
Next week looks to be dry, except for Tuesday and Wednesday with possible rain chances. Highs will be seasonable with 60’s inland and 50’s along the coast due ocean influences. Lows will be in the 40’s with some 30’s across the north. Overall, temperatures will be average to even slightly above average. Water conditions could be a wash again this week. Monday looks good then by Tuesday Afternoon conditions deteriorate through the end of the week with winds gusting to 25+ knots! Surf and beach conditions will be OK to Cautious again, echoing the water conditions.
Have a great holiday weekend and thanks for reading! Happy Easter and Happy Passover!!
