thud WIND WIND WIND and some more WIND!  thud From 7-2 my brother and I fished our butts off! I had put on every extra piece of clothing I brought for 'just incase' I needed it and thank god I had them. t^ I was layered! IT WAS COLD AND WINDY! 25 mph easily with I swear 40 mph gusts, and it never ever ever let up; INSAINE!  nts HUGE KUDOS to Capt. Mike and crew; they were awesome! Determined to put us over fish and worked the bay hard...with no success.  :'( We started in close and went as far out as the hook and no doubt every spot in between. Seriously the Capt. was on a mission. I felt bad for us, but really for him too. The last thing they want is for no one to catch fish. Between the mates chumming using the entire clam(s) and me with some fresh chopped up bunker nothing hit at all.  rgmn I'd say there were 20-25 people, (maybe), with 2 shorts landed (I am pretty sure on that # but could be wrong) and two missed (shorts) at the boat. (spit the hooks) A keeper fluke came up (bummer the season hasn't started yet) and a baby skate too.  They actually pulled tickets for the pool $$$ which I thought was a nice touch.  t^ There was one man who called me a 'fish junkie' and said I put some of the other guys to shame (teasing of course everyone fished really long and hard) since I never left the rail and they sat inside keeping warm. BUT, I'll be honest and say if the Capt. called the trip a lil short I wouldn't have minded too much; junkie or not it was almost unbearable. Everyone was in good sprits and tried their best in spite of the crappy conditions. Either way I was happy to be out fishing and looking forward to next weekend already. Hope you guys had a great weekend and was able to fish yesterday. You've all heard that before; 'Shoulda been here yesterday.'  fcp  P.S. I think I finally know how to snell a hook! I kept doing it upside down if you can believe it, but the mate was super nice, came over with some leader and 5 or 6 hooks and let me tie them till I got it right!  clp

Way to hang in there a Trish, hopefully in 2 week's we can wear shorts on the charter.

That's funny, Took me along time to switch over to the braid, I still have a few reels with mono. Lol
