Berkley PowerBait: Powerful Stuff
« on: May 05, 2014, 08:19:17 PM »
How powerful is the lure of Berkley Powerbait?  I know bass like it, and I once had a cat that would take a taste of it if I left it out, but this was unexpected.  I store a lot of my soft plastics in Tackle Logic wraps which I keep on a shelf in my tackle room (aka the garage).

One morning, while getting some gear together, I noticed what looked like crumbs on the shelf in front of the bags.  Looking more closely, those "crumbs" turned out to be some green fiber, chewed up worm bits, and mouse droppings.  Upon further inspection, I found the cause of these crumbs.

Apparently, a mouse found the scent of the PowerBait, which was in a sealed plastic bag and zippered worm wrap, too powerful to resist.  The mouse gnawed through the material of the worm wrap to get to the PowerBait worm and have a nibble.  This despite the fact that this bag of PowerBait is probably close to 20 years old!

Pretty powerful stuff! t^

Crazy Bob... those lil buggers when determined can pretty much break in to anything. I doubt he will last long depending on how much he did actually eat.

Ha ha!  I had a puppy when I was a kid that ate a box of crayons.  He took a lovely powder blue dump!  ;D
