Fresh and rested after my Florida vacation I went out for a short trip to give the fluke a shot. Made a right turn and gave the Navesink a try. Started off great, put the first rod out with a white bucktail tipped with a killie and a bare hook teaser also with a killie. Before I could get the gulp on my jigging rod an 18" fluke was in the box. Picked a few more shorts until the tide slacked, then made a move upriver. Again, a 19" keeper in the box. I picked away at shorts for the next 2 hours and called it quits at 10:30. Total count was 12 fluke/2 keepers and a few 3-4# blues.
Glad to back in NJ
