Sunny and warm weather this weekend with a split in water conditions. The weekend looks dry with more sun than clouds and Sunday being the sunniest with the least clouds. Highs will be in the 60’s and 70’s with 40’s and 50’s for overnight lows. Humidity will be low to moderate. Saturday will be breezy and Sunday calm. Water conditions will be border line to Cautious with possible Small Craft Advisories on Saturday; especially, for Southern waters and beaches and offshore waters. Winds look to improve throughout the day on Saturday and into Saturday Night. Saturday is the day to check conditions first hand as they can vary greatly from different areas, back bays to open ocean. However, with a predominant east wind, it could make for some sporty conditions. Sunday looks to improve with good conditions for all locations except offshore. Offshore will have Cautious conditions improving throughout Sunday with winds below SCA criteria, but still border line. Surf and beach conditions will be good to ok. Northeast/east winds will be gusty on Saturday and making surf rougher and increasing throughout the weekend. Saturday will see 1-3 feet on average with 2-4 feet on Sunday. Still, not terrible conditions, but the east winds will churn up the surf and bring in some rougher, bigger waves. Water temperatures are a few degrees cooler than the start of the week. Bays and rivers are in the 60’s, with surf temperatures in the upper 50’s to low 60’s. Ocean waters are in the upper 50’s as well. UV Index will be High to Very High at 7-8/15.

A weak cold front will move through the region from the northwest Friday. A high pressure system will follow and remain over the Mid Atlantic for the weekend. The high pressure system will settle to the south on Monday and remain over the Southeast for much of next week. A warm front will lift to the north of the area on Tuesday and Tuesday Night. A cold front will move through the area late on Wednesday and another cold front will approach the region on late Thursday.

Next week looks like Summer and gets hot on Monday with highs into the 80’s and lows only in the 60’s with moderate to high humidity. Monday will be dry. With higher temperatures and humidity, showers and thunderstorm chances will increase on Tuesday and Wednesday, possibly even Thursday. Thursday looks mostly dry as does Friday. These temperatures look to remain for the week, right now. Water, surf and beach conditions look good all week, minus any showers or thunderstorms. Surf could be high and rough on Monday around 2-5 feet even 3-6 feet.

Have a great weekend and thanks for reading!
