wb 10/21 big fluke small cbass
« on: October 22, 2007, 11:40:19 AM »
Nice day out there but not for stripers...

First fish in was a 27" slammer released near the Shrewsbury Rocks while drifting around looking for a place to drop the hook. Guess we weren't there yet.... My biggest flatty ever- you can just make out the "WELCOME" across his darkside.

Moved around a lot from SH down to almost Asbury just waiting to snag the hook, but it came up every time. Final tally was 1 keeper cbass @ 14" and all the shortys you could reel & release. We had action on squid, clams, and Gulp.

Didn't see much caught but lots of boats out.
Coming to grips with the impending haulout.  :'(

Good times had by all...

So good evidently I lost a day there it was SUN 10/21 now I'm awake

I know the felling, just hauled yesterday.

When you bringing her down?

I will be there this coming weekend giving her a good scrubbing and removing remaining crap to storein my garage for winter.

Flattie hit the usual squid on a pretied blackie's cbass rig

Boat's coming up next Sat or Sun, dependent on the wheathers- whether we decide to fish one more time, whether the weather cooperates more one day or Sun day. Got most of the stuff off yesterday.

Yeah mine needs a good scrubbin' as well hopefully Jr. does a nice job.

I wish, I need someone for that too. Jr. as in Mike Jr. down at Wagner's. Power wash is included in the winterization. He won't get it out of the water til Monday 10/29 the earliest so I can't get down there to do any additonal cleaning of my own... Gotta rely on those guys this year. Hope they do a good job.

Nice catch WB.  Good way to end the season, too bad you couldn't keep the flattie.  Maybe he will still be around for you next year.   TT^
