Tire Deflaters

I am in the market for a new set of deflaters.  I have a set that lets out the air by clipping on the valve but you have to check the pressure every so often till you get to the right pressure I need an easier way.  I checked out Oasis and Staun one looks like its made from aluminum while the other is made of brass.  I am opting for the brass one for durability reasons which is the Staun.

Any preferences?

 i have/use ones simular to the stuans look pretty close to what i have.

even though you set them, you must still keep an eye on them, for if a single spec of sand gets in the right spot they will deflate you down to the rim. other than that, they are great

Thanks Reel Time...I have to look for ways to make my life easier.  Had both hips replaced first one in Oct and the second one in Feb.  Feeling really good now but there are limitations on what I can and can not do.  I told my Dr. I have to be able to fish that was my life before and that was put on hold for over a year.  I am ready to get back.

I will be posting some pics of my beach rig as soon as I get everything cleaned up.

Just finished opening up all the reels and giving them a total cleanrng plus greasing them what a job 4 spinning reela and one fly reel didn't have time for thr fresh water gear.

Next I will be cleaning up the rod/cooler rack for the Expedition.

Sorry for going on and on but I can't wait to get back on the beach as you can tell.

 and you think your excited to go fishing? i have a brand new boat been sitting at teh dock for 2 weeks and have not been able to go out fishing on yet,, damn the weather.

I have been using the Staun Deflators and have not had a single problem with them. Once set to the tire pressure you want , just screw them on and wait for them to stop. Rugged brass construction , leather case , well worth the money.  When I learn how to post pix on this site, I'll show some of my FISHMOBILE .  <'((((><

I will be ordering a set this week.

as far as posting pictures it is fairly easy.  When you either click on Post reply or new topic look at the window you type in and go to the bottom left corner and click in Additional Options... You should see the word Attach Browse till you find where you have your pictures are located and click on the picture you want to post and click post it is that simple.

Oh Yea make sure you keep your pics to a max size of 25000KB per post.

I guess my description was a little over the top?  For all my photo stuff I use Adobe CS2.  I use it for my business as well as pleasure photos.    But your suggestion was a good one, thanks...

nope no joke,,,,one time i did it to see if i could,,,but as for deflating i never do,,i see all the people who di it and then they drive 5 miles to the air hoses on practicaly flat tires to reinflate them,,,,,,,,

I have regular Wranglers on and I do not want to get stuck.  I ordered a set of Staun deflate rs and they just came today.  Now to calibrate them tomorrow.  Nicely made all brass and easy to take apart to clean.  With shipping and handling around $66.00.

Now I won't need help and I might be able to get out there by myself.

I will probably be out on IBSP this Sunday.  Sat is a honey do day oh well.

no 4x i did it once,  the tires like 3 times but all 3 times was after a shower and sand was packed wet,,, I knbow a guy who fishes there a lot and has never deflated he just says drive slow and make wide turns ....

I can't take that chance.  I would rather take the time and insure myself I won't get stuck.  I have been doing this beach thing for over 20 years and never got stuck.  Helped a lot of people out over the years because they never lowered their pressure.

I can see if you have a fairly light veh. with wide tires to start with it is fine.  I have to be Conservative with what I buy just like many others with a family.  Wranglers are my max.  Good for all conditions.  I have been through many situations with Emergency Management and they never fsailed me yet.

I couldn'y agree more, I have Lt285 BFG Ats on my Avalanche; they run @ 65#.  I drop'em down to 18 to run on the beach.  Besides, the air pumps aren't 5 miles away, they're just past Area 7!
